822 Progress to May 31,2007 GRG members have pledged $10,000 in loans, to be paid back when property is sold. Scott County has processed its Right of Redemption and deeded GRG the property. Quad Cities Housing Cluster has given GRG a $30,000 low interest loan. The City of Davenport Happen Program has qualified 822 for $30,000 incentive payment when the house is completed and sold as a single family owner occupied residence. GRG is doing the general contracting - a $8,000 savings. GRG Volunteers have completed over 700 hours doing demolition, cleanup and some basic framing. GRG’s Architectural Rescue Shop (ARS) is supplying hardware, trim and doors – a $5,000 savings. Mark Construction has completed the reframing and roofing, bringing the home back up to code. Kale Company is doing the installation of Heating/AC; they agreed to be paid when the house is sold. Ewert Plumbing is completely redoing the plumbing; they agreed to be paid when the house is sold. Bruns Electric is doing a complete electrical update; they agreed to be paid when the house is sold. McCormick Insulation will completely insulate the house; they agreed to be paid when the house is sold. Bill Gluba of Remax will list the home when completed with no listing fee. |
