The Jipp caretaker
apartment is a very private, modern studio apartment, occupying the
entire second floor of the original 1878 Jipp home. It has exclusive
use of the front door at 730 Gaines Street and includes a 6' by 12'
downstairs hallway that can be used for storage or whatever. The rehab was funded in part by the Scott County Housing Council and requires occupancy by no more than an 80% median income household. Thru June 30, 2012 this would be $36,400 for one person or $41,600 for a 2 person household. Rent is $550 per month with ALL utilities included. 12 month lease. A one month security deposit is required at lease signing. The stove, refrigerator, central heating and air conditioning are all high efficiency and less than 3 years old. The front load washer and dryer are brand new (not yet shown in photos, located in the bathroom.) No smoking or pets are allowed. Applicants must pass the City of Davenport's background check and be able to show proof of yearly income to met the 80% income restrictions. Presently the attached Architectural Rescue Shop is only open on Fridays from 10 AM to 3 PM or by appointment or chance.
